How is it different to other apps on the market?
Well, that's a good question. What you're saying is "Why should I give my money to you guys, when there are 15,000 other apps that aim to do the same thing?"
1. We're a super small, lightweight company.
In fact, there are currently three of us. A designer, A brand identity designer (and general business manager) and a developer. Just three. That means we don't have big overheads. We can be as value friendly as we like. Isn't that what everyone wants in a recession?
2. We're agile.
Because there are only three of us we can do what we like. If we want to introduce a new feature, there's no committee, no board of directors or CEO to pitch it to. We are the CEO's. So we can develop a feature, build it and integrate quicker than any multi-million dollar fortune 500.
3. We care.
Ever get the feeling a business just doesn't care about you? Like all they want is your money? Us too. We're different because we actually care. If we had the choice between making $3 more per customer, or saving you 10 minutes of work everyday, we'd always stack up in your favour. We want to provide every customer with an effective, valuable service. We give you great support, cut out the stress, and treat you not as a number, but as a human being.
4. We're freelancers.
How on earth could a HUGE company ever build an app for small business or freelancers? Answer, they can't! They just don't get it. They never see the coal face where we make our livings. But freelancers do! We know clients vary in technical abilities, budgets and interests. And so, Penguin App accommodates for it. We know you don't have 7 hours spare to install and configure an application. So Penguin lets you get up and running in minutes, with minimal set-up.
5. We're here for the long run.
We personally offer support. Not any company we outsource the job to. Us personally, the builders of the app. We know it back to front, side to side, better than anyone. So its makes sense that we offer the 24 hour support you need. We're here for the long run. We want to serve our customers for ever.
What is Client Management (CRM)?
Customer relationship management (or as we like to call it, client management) is the name given to storing information and details about your customers in order to maximize their experience with your company. Essentially that means we help you store contact details, information about previous communications with them and reminders when to contact them again.
In essence, using our app will make you a more organized, effective business, lowering costs and increasing referrals from happy customers. Now that's cool.
How much will it cost?
We're aiming to keep Penguin App development costs low, so we can pass that saving on to you. We're going to use a pay-per-use model, based on monthly subscription. We forsee Penguin App's different levels starting from free, in stages up to around $30 or $40 per month. That's freelance level pricing.
What will it do for me?
If you're feeling stressed out by all the things you have to do, all that to and fro of communication you need to make with your clients, and all those things you need to remember, Penguin App can help. We have a super lightweight, easy to learn interface, available anywhere you can get web access. That means whether you're in your office at home, or sat on a bench with your iPhone (on our specially designed iPhone interface) you can manage your clients, well.
Why penguin?
Penguins are cool. But they're also highly social and adaptable – like our app. They know what they can and can't do. They don't try to fly, because they can't. So neither do we try and offer a jack of all trades application that's poorly executed.

What state is development in?
Nearly done! We have the entire web based system developed. It's going through bug testing then we need to skin it and launch. Hang in there, you're going to get a lot happier about managing your clients!
